Married Courtney … has one daughter: Brooklyn.  Attended the University of Nebraska … went 7-3 with a 3.66 ERA in 43 career games for the Huskers.  Was named honorable mention All-Big 12 as a junior after going 6-3 with a 3.39 ERA.  Graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa … won consecutive state titles in 2004 and 2005.  Was named First-TeamAll-State in 2005, posting a 9-0 record with a 0.85 ERA, five shutouts and a perfect game.  Finished his high school career with a perfect 11-0 record and set a school record with a .482 batting average.
