White Sox right-hander Miguel Gonzalez was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Monday, retroactive to Thursday, due to right rotator cuff inflammation. Right-hander Chris Beck's contract was purchased from Triple-A Charlotte, and to make room for Beck on the 40-man roster, the club transferred Danny Farquhar to the 60-day disabled list.
White Sox right-hander Miguel Gonzalez lost on Tuesday after giving up eight runs on eight hits (one homer) with two walks and one strikeout in three innings against the A’s.
